這一英文標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)常見(jiàn)錯(cuò)誤是受到了中文逗號(hào)用法的影響。但實(shí)際上，兩個(gè)完整英文句子之間必須有連詞，如and，but等，或者可以用分號(hào);

正確示例：It was raining hard, and they could not work in the fields.

It was raining hard. They could not work in the fields.

It was raining hard; they could not work in the fields.

It was raining so hard that they could not work in the fields.

二、                      英文出現(xiàn)頓號(hào)和書(shū)名號(hào)

英文標(biāo)點(diǎn)沒(méi)有頓號(hào)（、），也沒(méi)有書(shū)名號(hào)（《》）！這一英文標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)常見(jiàn)錯(cuò)誤也是中國(guó)學(xué)生寫(xiě)作時(shí)經(jīng)?；煜?/span>。

英文中多個(gè)并列結(jié)構(gòu)用逗號(hào)（,）分隔。

英文中的印刷體用斜體字表示書(shū)籍、報(bào)刊、戲劇、電影、繪畫(huà)作品等的名稱(chēng)，而非書(shū)名號(hào)。

示例：I got so into preparing meals that I started to make lunch for my mom and homemade treats for my dogs...（對(duì)比中文省略號(hào)??）

四、                      英文的連字符、破折號(hào)混用

1、       連字符（Hyphen）

連字符用于把兩個(gè)或更多的單詞連在一起組成復(fù)合詞，且hyphen的前后不用空格。

示例： face-to-face, well-know, a 10-year-old boy, twenty-two

2、       短破折號(hào) （En Dash）

表達(dá) " 從……到…… " 的意思，主要連接數(shù)字或單詞，相當(dāng)于to

示例：My life at university, 2011–2015, was so memorable.

表達(dá)兩者之間的關(guān)系。 

示例：mother–daughter relationship

代替連字符。當(dāng)合成詞的其中一部分本身就是合成詞，這時(shí)需要用短破折號(hào)代替連字符。

示例：Pre–Civil War era（后內(nèi)戰(zhàn)時(shí)代，Civil War本身就是個(gè)合成詞）

3、       破折號(hào) （Em Dash）

解釋說(shuō)明
